Act of Faith
The Act of Faith is a fundamental prayer in Catholic tradition, expressing belief in the truths revealed by God and taught by the Church. It is one of the three theological virtues, along with Hope and Charity. This prayer reaffirms the believer's adherence to Catholic doctrine.
O my God, I firmly believe all the truths that the Holy Catholic Church believes and teaches, because Thou hast revealed them, Who canst neither deceive nor be deceived. In this faith I intend to live and die. Amen.
When to pray
It is customarily prayed daily, especially during morning or night prayers, or during moments of examination of conscience.
