Origin
The Guardian Angel Prayer (Angele Dei) is a traditional Catholic prayer of personal devotion. While its exact authorship is unknown, it is believed to have developed over centuries, gaining widespread popularity particularly from the 17th century onwards. It is frequently recited by children and adults to invoke the protection and guidance of their guardian angel, and is associated with the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, celebrated on October 2nd.
