Prayer to Our Lady of Aparecida
Our Lady of the Conception Aparecida is the patroness of Brazil. Her image was found by fishermen in the Paraíba River in 1717. This prayer is a supplication to the Virgin Mary under this title, asking for her intercession and protection in all life's necessities and at the hour of death.
O incomparable Lady of the Conception Aparecida, Mother of God, Queen of Angels, Advocate of sinners, Refuge and Consolation of the afflicted and troubled, Most Holy Virgin, full of power and goodness, cast upon us a favorable gaze, so that we may be succored in all the necessities and afflictions of this life, as well as at the hour of our death.
O sweetest Mother, do not permit us to be struck by the enemies of soul and body, but rather, defend us with your most powerful protection from all dangers and evils, so that, guided by you, we may reach the port of salvation and eternal life.

When to pray
It is customarily prayed on October 12th, the feast day of Our Lady of Aparecida, and in times of affliction or need, seeking the protection of the Virgin Mary.
